July continued to be a tough month mentally and emotionally. My old girlfriend didn't finish moving out/ closing on her house until the weekend of the 26th, so we continued hanging out and living together until then. We celebrated the 4th with both our families and went to her friend's wedding in Columbus. It was fun to have those times together, but it didn't make separating any easier. There were several days I cried to friends, family, and myself - wondering if what I was doing was the right decision or not. Scared of the future. Not knowing if I would find a love like hers again and scared of being alone. The past few days have been the first I have spent by myself in my house and it's weird to not have her or our cat here anymore. I miss the companionship.

Besides that, I got my wisdom teeth out and 5 days later I suffered a bad ankle sprain in that basketball tournament, so I have been recovering for a while now. At least we won the basketball tourney! First 3v3 I've played in a long time and I had a lot of fun. The medical stuff didn't help the budget though. I also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity one day so that was nice. I would do it again.

Looking ahead to August, I'm going to be focused on healing for the next couple weeks. My mom is in town so she's going to help me get my house back in order. I have plans to go to Hawaii with my Granphilly, her boyfriend, and my old girlfriend so that should be an experience. It will be fun, but it probably won't help my girlfriend nor I move on and heal. At the end of the month, I am attending a bachelor party in Put-In-Bay for my best friend so I'm excited for that. Summer will have come and gone before I know it. This summer, specifically the last 8 weeks have been some of the hardest I've gone through in a while. I'm grateful that I have God, my friends, and family to lean on during these difficult times.

*Note: I now include equity in my primary mortgage in my assets because it is considered an investment.
