This past month went very well. Most of the month was fairly relaxing. Things slowed down now that I had a buck in the freezer and I was tagged out in OH. My standing freezer is totally full of venison which is an awesome sight. I was very blessed this year to get two does and a buck. Leading up to the holidays, I played some pick up basketball on Thursdays and did the necessary Christmas shopping. The 3v3 bball tourney I was trying to put on fell through because we couldn't get enough teams. One Saturday, I went out in the evening with friends to a bar in Willoughby. The next Saturday, I attended a game night with some friends as well. Christmas went really well. I got spoiled this year with all the gifts I received which included weight lifting supplies, saddle stand, new house plants, bedside table, etc. My Grandma also got proposed to on Christmas day which was a surprise. I had a very nice time enjoying time with family and friends.

Looking to January, it is looking to be a nice month. My basketball and indoor volleyball league will be starting the second week. I booked myself a massage next week as well which I haven't gotten in over a year. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm also going to see my Aunt one weekend and we're going to see a Broadway show! That's certainly a new experience so I'm looking forward to it.

Now let's look to our goals from last year. I didn't complete the majority of my goals. I fell short in the amount of books I wanted to read, my savings rate, breaking 100 on the golf course, giving back to the community, and harvesting a ~120" buck. However, I will give myself some grace as this year was a hard year with some unforeseen expenses. I certainly could have read more books, but I was very happy to go attend church as much as I did and complete my Hard 75. I am going to make a separate post detailing the whole year and the year ahead, so I am going to just list the goals I have for 2026 below.

*Note: I now include equity in my primary mortgage in my assets because it is considered an investment.
