November has concluded in a very positive way. Although it was technically on December 1, Dad and I hunted on our lease in Carroll Co. and doubled up that morning! He shot a 130" 11 point and I shot a ~100" 8 point. Although I missed my goal of a 120" buck, that 8 point looked plenty big to me in the woods and I was so excited to share that experience with my Dad. It's so rare for us to get a buck down the same day, let alone the same morning, and hunting only 300 yards apart! I will cherish that feeling and memory for a long time. Prior to that, I got a doe in WV with my bow. In total, I got 2 does and 1 buck this hunting season which makes it my most productive year ever. Pretty awesome! Our trip to the hunting camp was good, but not fruitful (besides my doe). No one saw a racked buck, but honestly I'm kind of glad. That property needed to recover after last year and the EHD that came through this year.

My cousin's wedding also went smoothly. As far as weddings go, everything was awesome about it and it was so fun to hang out with some extended family. Everyone also had a good time on our friend-cation to start the month. We rented out a big house near Seneca Lake. We spent some time drinking but a lot of time playing different sports and hanging out. Thankfully we had nice, warm weather that weekend. We are thinking for next year that we rent it more in the summer so we can utilize the pool.

Budget wise, this past month was great because I was barely home so I spent hardly any money. My savings rate was 69%! Pretty wild. That helps a little bit with the budget for the year. Looking to December, there will obviously be expenses with Christmas. My buddy's wedding is also this first weekend so there will be expenses with that. Otherwise, I anticipate it being much more lowkey. I hunted pretty hard in Nov so I will be glad to enjoy some downtime.

I got a great year end review at work today. My boss is awesome and I'm so grateful to work for her. I don't anticipate a large raise in the spring, but I will appreciate anything. Things are looking up.

*Note: I now include equity in my primary mortgage in my assets because it is considered an investment.
