Happy New Year! It is one of my favorite days of the year, January 1st. That's because I get to reset my budget, review my net worth, and see how my goals turned out for the previous year. But first, a summary of December. The month was good, but went by quickly as it always does when you are busy trying to see family/ friends and get preparations ready for the holiday. My mom and stepdad came in one weekend so we enjoyed hanging out with them: doing a food tour in Ohio City, seeing a comedy show at Hilarities, going to the casino, opening presents, and playing games. I got to see my aunt from New Jersey another weekend as well. Part of the group I play volleyball with on Friday nights in the summer got together for a tournament and we won! Christmas itself was very nice as well. I got some cool gifts including a power washer, cooking class gift card, a new chess set, some work pants, a new golf club, golf hat, a new book, and many other generous gifts. Looking ahead to January, most of my weekends are booked up already which isn't surprising but what I was somewhat trying to avoid. I would like to spend more time not running around on the weekend.

Now to the goals past and present. Last year, I set 11 goals for myself and I achieved 6 of them which I think is pretty good. This past year was the first year I grossed 6 figures so that was a huge goal that I'm glad I accomplished. Looking ahead, I don't know if I'll be able to write any more Chumba since they have blocked my account. I now also don't feel the need to pick up a new side hustle since my W2 will get me over 100K, so I don't have an income goal. I also don't think I will be in a position to buy any more units. Ideally, I could save up 10K per property in case something major were to happen and then buy my next unit. I would like to complete a Hard 75 to start the year and I want to get more into calisthenics, but I don't know exactly what that will look like... I don't really know where to begin. I want to get better about going to church so that will definitely be a goal. Maybe some type of volunteer work? I'm not sure what that would look like either.

My net worth on Jan 1, 2024 was $135,890.99. So, in one year's time my net worth has increased by 41%! Which is amazing. If I can do that every year, I believe everything will be just fine. Hopefully when I look back on this on Jan 1, 2026, my net worth will be $250K or more!

*Note: I now include equity in my primary mortgage in my assets because it is considered an investment.
