After the nice month of May, June went in the opposite direction. My girlfriend and I began the process of separating. Sadly, we have different ideas of what we want our future to look like and we couldn't come to a consensus, so we decided to part ways. She got an offer accepted on a house so she will be moving into that mid-July. On top of that, our sweet cat, Zoey, passed away. I devoted another blog post to her, so I won't go into all the details here. It just made for the month to be even more emotionally straining. I spent some weekends with my buddies playing golf or hanging out, so it was nice to see them. I also went down to visit my Granphilly which I haven't been able to do for a while so that was good.

You may have noticed that my liabilities drastically decreased this month. That is because I decided to pay off my basement loan. It had an interest rate of 10% and I have been debating paying it off for a while. After saving up enough, I thought it would be best to eliminate some of my debt. Now the only debt I have are the mortgages on my rentals so that's a good feeling.

Looking ahead to July, I have something going on every weekend. I'll be attending a wedding, house sitting, playing in a basketball tournament, and other smaller things. It will be a tough month with my girlfriend moving out and having to begin adjusting life to being on my own.

*Note: I now include equity in my primary mortgage in my assets because it is considered an investment.
