Another solid increase in net worth this April! I am getting closer and closer to my goal of having $50K in assets... I feel like that milestone will be crossed in the next month or two! A couple big expenses held me back this month, but should propel me in the future. For example, I switched my auto and home insurance to Allstate this month based on a random cold call from an agent. Switching helped me to save $600/ year over both home and auto! But, I got a nice discount because I paid for all my auto upfront, so that was one of my big expenses. The other was paying for my final R.E. course! Hopefully, that expenditure will pay dividends in the near future!
Looking at May, the only large expenses I can foresee may be vacation plans in June or renewing my contacts subscription. I also probably won't make any more than my standard paychecks seeing as though tutoring will be dying down soon.
Also, I crossed a line I wasn't sure I would ever cross. I put $200 into some stocks a while ago just for fun and I ended up losing a good chunk of it. Now after several months and different stock choices later, I finally crossed the $200 mark again so I'm finally profiting! It isn't much, but just something fun I like to look at.
*Note: I did not include equity in my primary mortgage in either my assets or liabilities.
**My current car loan is this amount more than my car is currently worth.
