Got my tax returns back this past month as predicted and they did not disappoint! My account said she itemized my return this year so I think that helped me get a larger sum. The stock market has been taking a large hit overall so my 401K dropped in value. I'm not too worried about it.
My two deals didn't end up closing last month but I am hopeful that they will do so this month. I'll be getting a $2500 bonus (pre-tax) in my next paycheck so that will help my savings rate. What won't help my savings rate is two birthdays, Mother's Day, and two vacations in May. I just need to be vigilant about my spending and I should be OK. After this month I am really going to buckle down on my real estate and try not to be out of town so much.
*Note: I now include equity in my primary mortgage in my assets because it is considered an investment.
