October seemed to fly by. I have continued going to my counselor and I think she has been helpful. It's been really nice to talk to someone about my actions/ thought process without any previous bias or consequence. I did have a little bit of a breakdown after I hit a 72 through 9 holes the one day.... but I have since moved on and felt much more at peace recently. I've been attending my OCIA classes to learn more about Catholicism and Christianity as well as attending church. All that has been really nice and I've really enjoyed going. Volleyball season wrapped up with no championships, except for the 4v4 tournament we played in Kent. We won the lower division! It was a lot of fun. Also, had a game night a couple weeks ago and that was a nice time as well.

Hunting has also been going well. I harvested a mature doe a few weeks ago. Put a really nice shot on her and she passed away quickly. I donated her so hopefully she feeds many hungry families. I've been seeing a crazy amount of deer recently. I saw 16 deer Sunday evening alone! Tons of does and young bucks which is great to see. It makes hunting more enjoyable. I even got to listen to a buck snort-wheezing and making a rub. Super cool experience.

On the finance side, my budget is in shambles. I'm essentially 10K over where I should be at this point in the year. Despite that, my net worth has continued to increase and my savings rate is at 38% which isn't too bad. With everything that has happened this year, I'm just trying to make it to 2026 and get a good, clean reset on my finances. This month is exciting though because I crossed the $250K mark! I'm officially a quarter of a millionaire after 6 years of working full time. If I kept this same pace, I'd be a millionaire when I'm 46, but with the power of compound interest and a higher salary, we hope to do it by 35. We'll see!

Looking to November, I'm going to continue hunting as much as I can. I have a friend-cation coming up this weekend. On the 19th, I'm traveling south for my cousins wedding and then I will go straight from there to the hunting camp. I'll have a total of 11 days off which will be cool! Looking forward to that. Hopefully I can check off that goal of 120" buck. Should be a good month - my goal is to spend a lot less money compared to October.

*Note: I now include equity in my primary mortgage in my assets because it is considered an investment.
