Well this was the first month in a long time that my overall net worth has decreased. This can be contributed to a decrease in return of my 401K and increased spending over my monthly budget. Some of the spending may be nullified because it went towards inspections for my potential rental property.
That is some big news - my offer on a duplex was accepted and I am currently in the process of inspections/ determining how much repairs are going to cost me. This will be my first house hack and investment property so it is definitely very exciting! If I am able to close on this property, my only housing payment will be my utilities for the next year which saves me about $535 per month. Also, I may rent out my current house and that would add to my income as well. The rest of this year may get interesting quickly!! Before I know it, it will be December which means additional money from work but also additional expenses for Christmas. I should really begin shopping for people now to spread out the expenses.
*Note: I did not include equity in my primary mortgage in either my assets or liabilities.
**My current car loan is this amount more than my car is currently worth.
