August was a good month for savings and for projects. Not counting the money put towards replacing the roof, this month I saved more than June and July combined! I keep the funds for my investment properties separate than what I spend during my normal course of life. I was able to go see my mom for a week which was nice. We golfed everyday and hit the beach a couple times. Had a successful roof replacement and got rid of all the shrubs around the rental. Now you can really see the porch which will also have to be repaired at some point. September looks to be a good month as we wrap up the summer. It's still pretty hot but volleyball regular season will be wrapping up and I have plans to hang with friends a couple weekends so that should be fun.

I also started my new job. So far, I have only done trainings but I know it is just a matter of time until I have access to everything and can start working. I should also be receiving my first paycheck this week so I'm excited to see if it's any larger than my PGR paychecks.

*Note: I now include equity in my primary mortgage in my assets because it is considered an investment.
